Now in its 10th year, Garden State Woman has emerged as one of the state’s most powerful and effective voices for women. It has become a effective tool to reach out to New Jersey’s visionary, successful women who realize the importance of effecting positive change in their own lives and in the lives of other women.

Editor & Founder Judy Chapman launched Garden State Woman in 1998 as a platform for empowering New Jersey women to take more effective control of all aspects of their lives.

Judy’s vision was to connect the women of New Jersey with the exceptional resources and professional contacts available to them.

In 2008 the Garden State Woman communication platform will include:

• Quarterly publication of Garden State Woman Magazine
• Annual publication of the Financial Resources and Health & Wellness Guides
• Monthly publication of an e-mail newsletter
• Hosting annual financial and health conferences
• Organizing the annual Garden State Woman of the Year program to honor some of the very best New Jersey women
• Providing scholarship support, through the Garden State Woman Education Foundation (501(c)3 (pending) for young women graduating from Abbott District high schools and attending four-year New Jersey colleges and universities.
• Development of the Garden State Woman website, now one of the most popular sites for New Jersey women searching for resources, information, and professional connections.
• Development of the membership-based Garden State Woman Association that aims to bring together successful New Jersey entrepreneurial women, whether they own their own businesses or work in entrepreneurial roles in larger professional firms or corporations.

In the later stages of 2008 we anticipate launching some of these initiatives nationally and, one day, globally.
