The Garden State Woman Association will have a networking and kick-off organization meeting on February 27th starting at 6 o'clock. The meeting will be held in The Mansion on the Madison Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University. From 6 to 7 will be networking and refreshments for the women attending.From 7 to 8 will be a discussion of the mission, goals, schedule and benefits of belonging to the Garden State Woman Association.
Pre-registration is required along with a fee of $50 payable to the garden State Woman Education Foundation. Proceeds from the event will go into a scholarship fund that in 2008 will be awarded to exceptional, motivated, smart young women graduating from Paterson public high schools and attending New Jersey colleges and universities.
The Association will be a membership-based organization for New Jersey women entrepreneurs who own their own businesses, are partners in professional firms, or work as senior-level corporate executives within an entrepreneurial environment and culture.
The Association will meet throughout the year and will provide opportunities for members to support each others’ personal and professional development by sharing experiences, information, and contacts. Important guest speakers will participate at each meeting of the Association. Guest speakers will focus on personal development. There will be three primary discussion areas: achieving personal financial success, living a healthier life, and career development. Detailed written information and an application to join the Garden State Woman Association will be available at the launch event on February 27th.
A range of other important benefits are being developed for Association members. These will be discussed at the organizational meeting.
