2008
Garden State Woman &
Garden State Woman Organization of the Year
Sponsored by the Garden State Woman Education Foundation
Let’s Make a Difference. Together
Garden State Woman Magazine launched the Garden State Woman of the Year in 2005 to honor and celebrate exceptional New Jersey women who “get it.” In 2006 and 2007 the women selected to receive the prestigious Garden State Woman of the Year awards were nominated by women throughout the state, many of whom read Garden State Woman Magazine, attend the company’s events or visit www.gswoman.com. Those chosen for the awards are picked by the trustees of the Garden State Woman Education Foundation.
The New Jersey women honored are selected because of their high level of professional accomplishments, their contributions to others through their “community” involvement and their significance as a role model for other motivated women looking to excel both professionally and personally.
In 2008 the process is being expanded to include a new category for ominations…….corporate and professional organizations with operations in New Jersey that have established a successful women’s initiative to empower and support the efforts of their women employees to excel within the organization while being able to effectively balance their family, personal and professional lives.
The women and the organization honored at the January 2009 Garden State Woman Annual Awards event
will be selected from among those nominated by the trustees of the Garden State Woman Education Foundation.
